You, our customers, are the reason we exist and we work hard to honor that in everything we do. We will always strive to provide the best customer service as well as skating boots, and we love to listen to your ideas, so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you would like more information about our custom skating boots, or if you are ready to place an order, please email email@example.com. Let us know what boots you are currently in, your blade model and size, and your skating level. One of our boot fitting experts will contact you within three business days to help you find a fitting location and answer any questions you may have.
We require a $600 deposit to put your custom boots in the production queue. Once production has begun (i.e. the leather has been cut for your boots), the deposit is non-refundable. We can accept credit cards, Venmo, and personal checks, though we reserve the right to require payment via money order.
Please allow at least 12-14 weeks for your custom boot order to be completed. Our quality assurance process is thorough and extensive; for detail please see the FAQ - “Why does it take 12-14 weeks to receive my boots?”
If you are receiving a boot/blade package, specialty leather, Rockerz soles, or laser engraving, please allow an additional week’s production time. Given that delivery of specialty items is dependent on outside vendors, we cannot guarantee the delivery timeframe of any boot with features outside of our control.
Avanta employees often take time off for all U.S. national holidays, as well as Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur, Easter/Passover, the Christmas/New Year season, and the week of July 4th, which may also delay production. Also note that all production times are estimates, not guarantees.
When you receive your custom Avanta skating boots, we hope that we will be able to count you among our many skaters who tell us that having the right pair of boots has helped them take their skills to the next level. To help us craft the perfect boots for you, we ask that:
…failure to do all of the above may delay your order, and/or result in your receiving boots that do not meet your needs as a skater.
For most skaters, small adjustments to their boots will often be required after the boots are created. Why is this so? First, each skater’s foot is unique. Small bone protrusions and micro-indentations in the foot may not be captured by the measurements taken, and thus require adjustment. We believe that our boot fitting method using the STS sock cast system will produce the closest possible match to your foot, but an alteration or two may improve fit and performance. In addition, all foot measurements - regardless of boot manufacturer or fitting method - are taken when the skater is in a static position (i.e. standing and sitting still.) Skating, however, is a dynamic sport. As you skate, your foot’s position in the boot will modulate in different ways to accommodate the various maneuvers you perform. The dynamic motion of the foot inside the boot may – or may not – require that the boot receive some fine-tune adjustments. We are happy to work closely with your local dealer, pro shop, and coach to assist them in making the necessary alterations.
As skaters know, our sport has its share of inherent risk, and there is always the possibility for injury. An individual skater’s foot, joint, tendon, and bone morphology, as well as the stress of skating itself, may all contribute to discomfort that may be impossible to remedy. If foot problems persist after your boots have been heat molded, adjusted, and/or stretched, it may be the case that a boot cannot be created to meet your particular needs. We therefore recommend that skaters carefully consider the advice of their coach or trainer, in conversation with Avanta’s boot fitting experts, when placing an order for custom boots.
We take personal family pride in our boots, and we offer the longest warranty in the industry - 180 days from delivery. All components of the boot that are manufactured or provided by Avanta Skating Boots are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If a component covered by this warranty should fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it, at our discretion, without charge. For a component that is no longer in production or in stock, and cannot be repaired, a replacement with a comparable component or a refund will be offered instead.
